First of all let me state that I am new to overclocking CPUs. I looked online for guides that I have followed. After a couple hours of fiddling I came to the conclusion that I can only go up to 3.6ghz with it staying just under 73°c at full load. I think this is a bit silly as I do have an Corsair H50 so I would think I should be able to get a higher clock speed of like 4.2ghz at least. Some helpful information:

Motherboard: Asrock Extreme4 Z77

Core voltage: I didn't touch but CPU-Z is showing 1.312 V during stress test

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Congratulations! You lost the silicon lottery! The h50 isn't a very good cooler, idk why so many people buy it.

Jesus christ guys hold the phone.

For all we know OP could of just missed out on something or left auto voltage on. 1.312V for 3.6GHz isn't right. Although the H50 isn't the greatest cooler of all time.
