Oh that could be it but I think they got the angle a bit wrong. It's just a bit too big. 

I have a quite narrow head and I don't have issues with it.

I don't know why after so many years of engineering, headphone manufacturers still could produce headphones that are too small, too tight, too loose.

It's only a problem when you get towards the maximum setting. I use them at just a smidge less than max and I get a lot more pressure at the bottom of the cups than the top.

The only comfort issue I have with them is the headband, because short to no hair doesn't mix with the lack of padding.
