I finished my PC build on Monday and have observed how loud the stock AMD cooler is on my Athlon x4 760k. My build is extremely quiet with a cool maxwell GPU, foam on on fan intakes and quiet led fans. I need an alternative air cooler. I understand the Hyper 212 EVO and others from Cooler Master are nice but are there any others anyone will recommend?

Thanks,

James  :D

Hyper 212 EVO is about as good as it gets for £25/$35. The stock Blademaster fan typically runs between 700-1000 RPM and is very quiet.

There are obviously others but the 212 Evo is such a staple cooler it would be foolish to not look at as a major option.

Since you're just looking for something quieter than the stock cooler, you could just use the 212 Evo (as long as it fits in your case) and you could even turn the fans down until it's silent.

Sig under construction.

Where are you shopping/located? Budget?

What case do you have?

This belongs in the Air Cooling section. I'm moving the thread.

You mention quiet quite a bit in your original post so why wouldn't you look at a closed loop water cooler for your cpu?

Aio's tend to be louder than just air cooling.

That's my most probable option but I just wanna check I'm not missing anything :)
