Alright guys I think I have found my desk and I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a computer chair? I'm hoping under $70 and it lasts a bit. What I have now is comfortable, but does not allow me to sit properly (part of my parents old couch). Also a suggestion for amazon would be awesome, but if not hopefully a store I have here. Thanks again.

Although 2x your price range I have to point out Staples' Creswick (http://www.staples.com/Staples-Cresw...product_853616). I got mine on sale for sub $100 which may be more acceptable. I put this out because I have the 3 year warranty on the chair and whatever happens to it, I can get a replacement, the sales person literally said if I took a screwdriver to it they would give me a new one. At one point the lift on it broke so I called Staples up, they sent me a giftcard for the chair, around $100, and I only had to pay around $10 for a new warranty. They didn't even want us to throw the chair away or anything, so we replaced one of the old chairs in our computer room with it and now we have 2.

PS: I would highly recommend going to a staples, or some other office supply store, and just sitting in the chairs getting a feel for them. I picked this chair purely out of comfort.

I got my chair from an Office Products Depot. 350NZD for fake leather but im so glad I got one that was massive and had arms and shit. The arms are a bit worn from where I spin out and they get caught on my desk.

But its a chair ill probably have for a long time. Well worth it, I recommend getting something really nice if your going to spend a lot of time sitting in it.

How much was the warranty to begin with? Oh and reason I suggest amazon is because I have a $100 gift card woo.
Definatley go to a store if you can to try out some chairs like KingLinkTiger suggested. You will hate your chair if its not comfy.

Cxz, how about this, go to an office store or furniture store and see if you can find some office chairs you can sit in. If you can and found one that is comfortable and acceptable, grab the model number and brand from the box(or ask someone who works there if there isn't one) and write it down and search for it on Amazon.

You can test out the chair AND use your Amazon gift card :)

I believe it was around $10 for the warranty, and if anything happens to the chair you will get your money back, minus the $10. Also, you can still go to a store and then look the chair up on amazon at a later time, I've done this many times to see if things are less expensive on Amazon or to see if they are Prime eligible.

Its sad to see that we are willing to spend $1000s on our PCs but not on something we need to use that computer with. I've been using a $40 chair for 3 years and its pretty beat up, looking for more suggestions from Office Depot, Ikea or Staples. Thanks.

Yeah I've done that at my office depot and office max. Maybe I'll sit in some pricier ones and bite the bullet if I have to =( lol

When I was shopping for mine I was like you and looking for a "lower priced" chair .I had to come across the rationalization that I was going to be spending quite a bit of time in this chair, I wanted/needed it to be comfortable, and for it to last. With a 3 year warranty, or any extended warranty, you are pretty much guaranteed that your chair will last.

Yeah but I plan on moving soon and idk if I can spend 200+ on a chair right now =(

Hum if you are really strapped for cash why not wait? I'm sure you are sitting on something now, so why not wait until you have the money/time to get something worth the money?

I can say from experience that paying more for chair will be better in long run than getting cheap on it. If you get 70$ chair now, in two years it most likely will be broken. In chairs qulity and price go together. I got mine for around 400$, Maybe bit overpriced but I got long legs and back, so regular office chairs are too low for me. This chair was used and I have had it for six years. Only thing that has taken some hit are foam armrests.

Staples used to have an incredibly comfortable chair for $60 but they had to discontinue it because no other chairs were selling, it was easily more comfortable than $200 chairs. I got the very last one from my local store. Its so comfortable that people have offered me over $100 for it after sitting in it haha
