AMD Bulldozer FX6100 O/C

Hi, 

I've used the AMD Catalyst Control Centre to overclock my CPU, but with no luck. I can reach 4.2GHz on the test run, but when I try something as little as 3.7GHz (considering baseclock is 3.3-3.6GHz), I recieve an unstable overclock.

 

So out of interest, I'd like to know what people do to overclock this chip on their motherboards, i.e using the BIOS to overclock their chip. 

 

I'm using an ASUS M5A97 mobo FYI

My brothers rig is like 4.1Ghz with 1.375v 

 

If you want to get 3.7Ghz set the multiplier that way and change the voltage up or down till its stable.

I got mine at 4.2ghz 1.38v. I dont run the OC anymore, because i only use my computer for school stuff now ;(
