since my motherboard failed im now stuck with i5-650 cpu . So what would be the best solution , buy new pc and sell my old cpu or go on eBay and buy used lga1156 motherboard from some doggy seller ?

Upgrade. While 2600k's and such are still good, that CPU is a little bit on the old side.

Do those boards even have SATA III?

Buy motherboard from some local store

Take the risk of second hand online sellers

Gigabyte Asus and MSI all released a sata 6gb and usb3 variant of their p55 boards.
