GTX Titans have double precision, which is used mainly by the scientific community, also CAD and 3D modelling ..

But it can also be useful, since it has 6GB of GDDR5 can be good for Multi monitor/4K configurations when gaming.

Basically, the Titan is a hybrid of Quadro and Geforce.

It's an option for people who want to game, but want to do compute tasks as well, but don't want two cards in their system.

A Titan is the result of a GeForce GTX and a Quadro having sex.

Basically it's a 780Ti with double precision enabled and moar vRAM.

Joker of all trades, master of none. If you don't know what to do with your card, a Titan can do it all. It won't excel at any particular job, but it will do them all decently.

Except for the price tag. THAT is one subject the Titan excels (in a negative sense  ).
