Xbox One Controller for PC (How to wireless!?)

Hey guys,

Some time ago, I've acquired some games that can be played with another player locally. Locally in the same PC, which means 'Versus' games and/or 'Local Co-op'. I got some generic controllers which I use with the X360 Controller Emulator. I've played a lot of co-op/vs games with my sibling even on consoles.

So I'm now planning on buying some legit controllers for my PC, namely an Xbox 360 wireless controller. Then I see this cool looking XB1 controller which is said to work on a PC with a driver from MS.

My questions are...

- How can I use the wireless capability of the XB1 controller for my PC because in the driver page, it just says I need a cable and doesn't even mention on how to wireless.

- Can I pair it up with the XBox 360 wireless receiver?

- Has anyone tried this before? or even using a wireless controller for the PC

Don't worry PC Master Race, I still use a KB and Mouse for the majority of my game time ;)

It's just that some games are just begging to be played on a controller and I like playing it from a TV while lying on a couch or just the floor

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."

No wireless capability yet,

Any word on it?

Considering that windows actually made a driver for the XB1 controller instead of releasing a separate controller for the PC, could it be likely they'll just sell a receiver or just make it work with the previous one?

@YoloSwag

Nope. You can't use it with a PC. Not at all. You should've got an Xbox 360 controller.

"Pay for the same thing" is exactly what they're doing, but I'm glad this time around they just gave a driver for the new controller. The wireless capability has been blocked though.

You can use Xbox one controller on PC, but not wireless, you need a cable.

They expect you to pay extra for a proprietary dongle that's coming sometime soon. Screw that. For about the same money as that controller you can get a PS4 controller. Works on PC right out of the box as a directinput controller through USB and bluetooth, and if you install DS4windows you get Xinput and tons of extra functionality. Plus, it's more comfortable.
