Hi there.

I just got some money during christmas which Im willing to spend on upgrading my computer, but I think Im overthinking it too much.

The point is I need help figuring out what to do:

My specs ATM are as follow:

I use it as a casual/heavy gamer: I dont actually play AA titles, basically because I cant run them properly :o. I play LoL, WoW, Skyrim, DarkSouls2, CSGO, Starcraft, HoTS, MC, etc...

The thing is that ive tried streaming a couple of times and ive really enjoyed it, so I decided a while ago to start streaming and recording more consistently. Unluckily with my current rig, I can't manage to stream most of those games without having to put up with FPS spikes and such. Basically, I cant stream a whole sesion without having problems or dying coz of a mini-freeze.

I wanna swap out some of my components:

CPU: AMD FX3850 (162€)
MoBo: MSI 970 GAMING (100€)
GPU: MSI Twin-frozr 970 4GB GDDR5 (359€)
SSD: Kingston v300 240GB (97€)

In total a bit more than 715€. My limit budget.

I DO have the money, nevertheless, im wondering what its the best thing to do.

[TL:DR ends here]
I want to buy for sure the GPU. I use the NVIDIA encoder to stream and the 970 will do an awesome job of it if i dont upgrade the CPU just yet. So i dont REALLY need to get a new CPU as mine will handle it if im encoding at the GPU.
on the other hand, i know that if i dont upgrade CPU + Mobo, i wont be getting 100% out of the GPU, which is basically throwing money.
Yes, i know intel is better atm than AMD; but for my purpouse the extra cores will be beneficial.

That is the best mobo I can get for what i want. Ive checked the 990 chipset but its over my budget (with SUB3.0 header) I beliave?

So here are my questions:

Should I just get the GPU and wait till the next processors to come out (whenever that happens)?
Any better Mobos with ubs3.0 header and nice audio?
Any other SSD?

Thanks a lot for reading, sry for the long post: have a potato :D

Thanks in advance for any replies.

For what you've mentioned, an i5 would be better.

To be honest, if you're just gaming I'd keep the CPU/Mobo and get  a 980, I know people are gonna scream at me "BOTTLENECK BOTTLENECK" but I guarantee you it won't happen, and even if it does, it won't be much. And I won't trade off GPU power for usb3 and SSDs

I do video editing and such, so the 8-core is a better option I think, not?

+ I will overclock :S

a) I dont have the money - I WILL upgrade my CPU and Mobo sometime.

b ) I just dont need the raw power that beast has - Im better off with a 970 and 150€ in my pocket.

c) OVERKILL (its b again I know)

The 4460 is fine for video editing. The 8320 really excels when it comes to heavily threaded things like 3d rendering.

Oh. The mx100 isn't that much better than the M500 but is much better than the ssdnow v300.

I think it's between 25% - 40% faster in more intensive stuff. Not across the board but in enough benchmarks that I think it'd be worth the extra 6 euro.

Definitely miles ahead of the Kingston though.
