Samsung 830 and 840 Raid?

xZavik

I'm currently rocking a Samsung 830 128GB SSD. If I purchase the 840 series would it be possible to Raid 0 the two drives?

I heard you can mix 2 ssd , but Its not recommend . The risk of failure/data loss is really higher since it might be unstable.

Tho im not completly sure about 830 with 840 .

The risk of data loss should not be more than twice as high as normal but you should always backup anyway. Regarding performance I would believe that they will always run at the speed of the slowest drive. Having a raid card might improve that due to the caching but I'm not sure. xD
