I have put these parts together, Can anyone check them out?

 

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97P-D3  Edited

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K 

CPU Cooler: Scythe Mugen 4 SCMG-4000 Edited

RAM: Crucial Ballistix 8GB DDR3 1866Mhz Edited

Hard Drive: Just a 1000gb hard drive nothing special

GPU: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G GDDR5 Edited

PSU: Corsair VS Series VS650

Case: Corsair Carbide SPEC-03 RED

 

If you have any suggestions that I could change, Please reply!

If you're going with an unlocked i5 CPU, buy a Z97 board... you're wasting money if you don't

-You will need a "Z" chipset on your mainboard: z87. To overclock your processor.

-It wouldn´t be that bad if you choose a littler higher clocked ram, 1866mhz.

-I would go for the MSI/Gigabyte design GTX970

-Z board z87/z97 (I think you need to update the BIOS on the z87 board for it to work with the Haswell refresh CPUs)

-Find a better cooler. Some single tower aircooler from noctua or be quiet will do a great job of keeping your CPU cool and being quiet.
