Hey guys I'm looking for replacement pads for the AKG K550 I just got. Was looking into the Audeze ones. Any opinions on whether the leather or non-leather is better? or if there are other pads I should look at, let me know. I'm likely going to put in a detachable cable for these too.

The leather gets hot & sweaty after a while, although a lot less than other leathers I've used.

But IMHO, suede is SOOOOO much more comfortable.

I don't really have a sweating problem in Wisconsin haha. I actually stuffed some cotton balls in the AKG pads and they're a lot better now but I think I'll still get some Audeze pads. Might just go for the leather one because I'm worried about how the suede will affect the sound. I usually prefer leather for comfort anyway.

Apparently the suede takes a tiny bit of bass, and adds a tiny bit more treble.

(According to LE AUDIPEELS on head-fi LOL)

But seriously, it's the softest material I've ever felt on my ears, it's ridiculously soft, like putting 2 babies butts on your ears.

How does it perform? Do you encounter the sealing problem I talked about earlier?

At first yes but after I adjusted the headband a bit and stuffed the earpads with cotton balls the seal is fine.
