I was thinking of updating my laptop GPU. I was wondering what GPU ic ould use if i could. It is a Satelite s855-S5381 I'm not trying to convert it to a "gaming" laptop. I just want to be able to play some games at a decenty frame rate. I know how to install it, but I don't know what is possible to ise / compatible.

You cannot put a GPU in a notebook that does not have a removable gpu.

Your notebook doesnt even have a GPU, it uses integrated graphics. You cannot change or upgrade it.

It's still a GPU. But I get what you're saying.

Not really, because its inside the CPU.

GPU = graphics processing unit, and in this case it is not it own 'unit'.

From Wikipedia

A graphics processing unit (GPU), also occasionally called visual processing unit (VPU), is a specialized electronic circuit designed to rapidly manipulate and alter memory to accelerate the creation of images in a frame buffer intended for output to a display.

Even so, it's still a graphics processor.
