Yes but probably not by much. 

Whether it's worth doing is also questionable due to more heat and power consumption.

If the GPU clock is unlocked you can but don't, your going to have issues.

Yes but it will depend heavily on your laptops cooling capability and likeoverclocking desktop hardware it will be subject to the silicon lottery. I had an Alienware M14xR1 with a GT 555m, it had a stock clock of 590Mhz and I was able to go to 770Mhz but no further because of slider limits and no software I could find would let me have access to higher clocks.
