Windows 7 or 8 for 2015?

while i dislike metro ui, the start menu in windows 7 is painfully slow for finding and running apps, so my vote goes for windows 8.1

My preference is Ubuntu but since my computer is primarily for gaming that sorta forces me to use Windows. At this point in time people should just stop bitching and use Win8. It is the better OS between 7 & 8 performance wise and there isn't that much that you need to do to get it how you like it. And honestly even though it's tiny a thing Win7's desktop just looks dated now compared to Win8's (lets ignore the shitty metro stuff here).
