Hello, how are you?

After first ditching my iMac for my gaming pc and then going from the iPhone 5s to the OPO, now comes the time to have a divorce from my iPad.

Having all Google now, I don't really like the way chrome works on the iPad. It has bad performance. Also, inbox does not have an iPad version.

I sync my desktop chrome with my phone and all that, so going all Google is what I am looking.

Having browsed the market, I am currently torn between these two.

I read on the Web, that the nexus 9 is overpriced with poor build quality.

I can get the shield 100 euros cheaper than the nexus.

I won't be gaming very much at the tablet. I have my pc for that.

I will use it for email, Web, YouTube, music listening...

What's the best option?

For me the main thing, besides price are the screens. I am used to 4:3. Been using iPad for 2 years. I use my iPad 95% of the time in portrait.

How does 16:10 in an 8 inch screen works?

What gives the better user experience?

Thanks for helping out.

Cheers!

SNIP

basically

If gaming stream and the stylus interest you - Shield 100%

If just a tablet - Nexus 9

that said, as just a tablet, I still think the iPad is a killer piece of kit, but both of these are great tablets to own

Both tablets are great Ipad is also great too , but since you have swicth to a different prospectus you wont need it

the nvidia shield is not just for gaming is a very good tablet and very fast due to the fact that it contains a tesla cpu

The nexus 9 is also very good but those two tablets have a difference of 100 euros

so i recommend you either staying with the ipad or get the shield

Ipad--- you wont be doing anything intense like gaming or ..... just surfing on the web and emails casual things . Because you like chrome doesnt mean you need to spend money buying a new tablet

I would have recommend you the ipad air but it might be out of your budget

I personally want an Nvidia Shield over a Nexus 9 and I don't really want to use a tablet for gaming.

MKBHD mentions in his review of the Nexus 9 that he thinks it should be priced lower, he also mentions that the Nvidia Shield is a great all around tablet.

If you get easily offended by people on the Internet there is something really wrong with you. You focus on the opinions of a few people instead of worrying about why you have a terrible taste in video games.

I have a Shield and for the moment I use it mainly for normal tablet stuff and it's solid for that and if you would want the gaming things it's there. the stylus is really nice too imo.

Why would you listen to me? I'm just some random guy on the internet!

I'd go with a Shield, it's an all around great tablet and it comes in at a lower price point than the Nexus 9 (The last time I checked that was the case)

CPU: R5 5800X3D Motherboard - MSI X570 Gaming Plus RAM - 32GB Corsair DDR4 GPU - XFX 7900 XTX 4GB Case - NZXT H5 Flow (White) Storage - 2X 4TB Samsung 990 Pro PSU - Corsair RM100E Cooling - Corsair H100i Elite Capellix Keyboard Corsair K70 (Brown Switches)  Mouse - Corsair Nightsword RGB

My current iPad is an air first gen.

I just get frustrated using chrome.

It often crashes with multiple tabs, it stutters while scrolling...

And inbox just has the phone version. No iPad version.

When I used safari and apple mail, the iPad air was perfect.

But since apple doesn't allow chrome to have it's own framework as I read, the usability is just not there...

Cheers
