Play It Safe After Sony Hacks: Another North Korea Movie Cancelled

so apparently steve carell had a movie about north korea in the works. well...following all the hacks with sony that movie has been cancelled.

 

 

Based on a graphic novel by Guy DeLisle, Pyongyang was to be a "paranoid thriller" about a Westerner's experiences working in North Korea for a year. Gore Verbinski had been prepping to begin filming in March, according to TheWrap.

i think its time i invest in creating a north korean sitcom where kimmy is portrayed as a homer simpson esk person attempting to run a country while being haunted by the ghost of his dad.

To be honest, it was a pretty stupid idea to make a movie about a country that has supposedly threatened with nuclear war, and is known to react very badly to media coverage that it considers "bad".

no, those are all covering sony's movie. this movie was in planning phases by a different studio

The thing is, the GOP were leaking information about Sony employees, and a ton of other stuff.

I personally think the GOP was hired by north Korea to do this, i doubt north Korea is advanced enough in technology to do this themselves.
