Face it, the currency of the internet is USD. Most of us are more familiar with USD than euros / Lira (or whatever Portugal uses as a currency).

Cuz Amazon man, here in portugal a $369 gpu costs around $460 (369€). everything costs more

And yeah, it's easier to think in USD than in EUR

You realise it will cost more if you order from US Amazon, expensive shipping + import tax and duty

If it was just to give us your budget, its best to give it your local currency, due to price differences with US prices

Because of taxes? Like you don't have to pay taxes if you buy from amazon?

Taxes. Europe has VAT and import duties. That's why 80$ in NA is not actually equal to 80$ in EU.

To portugal? I wouldn't think so.

When you import from US you have to pay VAT which is ~19-21% and import taxes 5-10% (i think), basically 1$ becomes 1 euro after all the taxes, that's why the prices are different in your country.

Free shipping to US addresses, not to export it overseas

The US have different sales tax

for example in the UK we pay 20% VAT, that means any us prices are automatically 20% more expensive, then there is the expensive shipping costs (normally like $50) and sometimes extra chanrges on top like handling fees

But if i order from Amazon it costs me 1045€ and if i buy in portugal 1305€. Isn't it worth even with that taxes and duty something that you're talking about ?

1045+1045*0,23+1045*0,05=1337.6 +shipping.

^^^ this can be even more. I took 5% because that is average-ish.

What if i Buy from newegg in netherlands ? for example the i7-4790k is 100€ cheaper

There is no newegg netherlands they just ship to netherlands afaik and taxes still need to be paid. It's best to buy from your country most of the time, unless there is an amazing deal.

buying inside europe is better option, its worth check around for shipping prices and import costs! but its probably not as bad as from the US

newegg are still US, they just ship worldwide
