Hey guys

I'm placing a order soon and I'm wondering is it worth the extra $65 for the Samsung 850 Pro Series 256GB SSD instead of the Samsung 840 EVO Series 250GB SSD

The build is a video editing computer (no 4K, mostly 1080).

Also would the parts and memory (linked below)have chosen be sufficient enough for things like After effects/adobe suite. Im trying to get under (or close to) $3000 for the whole build.

Thanks

Definitely, the 850 pro will provide better performance  and is actually made for that sort of thing, although the 840 evo will still do well. And yes RAM looks good.

btw nice build

I'd been contemplating which one to go with for my planned video editing build also, but in the end I ended up choosing the 850 Pro, not just because of the 10 year warranty, but also for the new 3D NAND Flash memory that should offer consistent performance throughout the life of the SSD. :)

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.
