What ~$400 video card do you prefer?

The GTX 970 Or the R9 290x(The R9 290 cost about 300 and lower but has almost the same performance as the 290x, So id rather recommend that one when the money matters.)

I have the MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G and it OC'd to 1.5Ghz core and 8Ghz memory no prob with little voltage, stays cool and quiet as well. Love it.

I would say go for it or the Gigabyte G1. Reference boards like the Strix and EVGA cards don't seem to be over clocking as far as the MSI and Gigabyte cards. The Galax(y) Hall of Fame cards should be coming out soon and may be worth looking at as well.
