I'm building a new PC and I'm going to have an SSD (60GB) for the windows and use it as a boot drive and the HDD (1 TB) for the mass storage, but I need help just to know which programs to install on the SSD and which things to install on the HDD and so. I also need to know how to optimize things for gaming.

Why a 60GB SSD?

"It pays to keep an open mind, but not so open your brain falls out." - Carl Sagan.

"I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you" - Edward I. Koch

Install the OS and any room left you can put some games on and/or software that you use a lot. But i don't think you would be able to fit a lot on after you have the OS installed on it, my 120GB SSD filled up quick but at the time it was £90 and didn't have much to spend or i would have got a higher capacity one.

Just install things that you will use often on your SSD, like a web browser or steam. Also it should be fine with gaming just make sure steam installs the games on the HDD.

It's not a good idea to install Steam on your SSD if you plan to put the games on another drive. Lots of Steam games (especially Ubisoft titles) don't work at all unless they're installed in the default Steam directory ("[where Steam is installed]\SteamApps\Common").

Other than that you should install browsers and software you use all the time (like your image/video editing software for example). You can move any of the folders inside your user folder ("Users\[your name]") including the folders inside the "AppData" folder to another drive. Here is a guide for that:

I hope this helps :)
