Why don't you try putting some effort into typing a post correctly and then maybe you will get some respect from others.

Bruh... Please do research when buying PC parts.... What i would do is order a Gigabyte UD3P, before you create a bomb, in case your wondering, i would not even use the system at all with a 8 core and that motherboard...

i would disable 1 module and try to undervolt the CPU until i could get a proper motherboard...the gigabyte 970A-UD3P is what i was using...as i mentionned 1.42v is the most it can handle for sustained workloads...for gaming 1.45v is fine on this.

here what it looks like:

8627_big.jpg

This is a proper board for FX 8 core overclocking, it has good heatsinks on the VRM's and mosfets and feature a digital 8+2 power phase design borrowed from the 990FX big brother...it's nice for the price...fan control is a pain in the butt (impossible in fact) like it is for EVERY gigabyte boards up to this date...but other than that i recommend it...but i would recommend to sell all that AMD junk and buy an i5-4590 and an H97 motherboard instead.

He isn't even following the thread lmfao. Sigh, i feel like people who are new to the PC world should avoid AMD because they have hella bad motherboards compared to intel. Sigh.

Edit: the mobo he is using is the ugliest mobo i;ve ever seen lmfao

they look at the price of the CPU and buy the cheapest board available without double checking...and once you factor in a correct motherboard and a cpu cooler for the thing you end up paying more than an i5 haswell and an H97 board...it's ridiculous how uninformed people are.

i am getting an asus sabretooth 990fx nxt month....i needed the pc badly when i bought it...and had to buy that crappy mobo....

don't do that it's not worth it the FX cpu's will not give you the performance you are looking for even with an insane overclock unless you are looking for rendering videos and stuff like that on a budget in which case you would be better to just run your CPU at stock and undervolted.

instead try to sell this cpu and motherboard to an uninformed person over the web and order yourserlf this kit which will be better than an overclocked fx in most situations especially in regards to gaming (a quick google search or an intensive essay on the subject will confirm this i'm no fanboy i do love AMD to DEATH i would run an AMD cpu if it was not for the very poor gaming performance)

all i want to know is that is it only the motherboard thats holding me back or any other bottlenecks??

The cpu itself the architecture for this CPU was developped with server purpose in mind about 5 years ago...and even at launch it was an inferior choice, now it's pretty bad.

ok....thank you...

still can i get more than 4.6ghz in this fx processor just for fun atleast...???

that depends on the quality of the chip you got (this is called the silicon lottery) and no most FX-8320 won't go higher than 4.4ghz stable...AMD bin the better chips and call them FX-9370 and FX-9590 nowadays so chances to get a good overclocker on lowest binned chip like the FX8320 are VERY unlikely...in fact i was very lucky to have an FX-8320 that was capable of 4.6ghz...this is uncommon...i was able to sell it for 200$ with the board to a kid on kijiji and i almost ran away with the money and i bought an intel i7 the next day.
