21:9 monitor goes fuzzy on DVI-D but is good on HDMI. Why?

HarrisonC

So I bought an LG 29UM65 a few months ago and when I first got the monitor I found that when I plugged it in via DVI-D to my GPU it would make the screen very fuzzy and unusable (see images of issue). I contacted LG and they were useless suggesting a new DVI-D cable, which works find on my old monitor. I plugged it in via HDMI though and it work perfectly. I have had a clear out today and wanted to try and fix the issue. I wondered if anyone has had an issue like this before and what I could try to do in order to fix it.

Thanks,

Harrison

Looks like a textbook bad cable (or bad connections on one end I guess).

Just bought a new cable. Will see how it performs
