Can't move audio into different track? (Sony Vegas 13 Pro)

It's because that is a video track you're trying to drag audio into. Just create a new audio track and put it there

Pshhhh we all make mistakes. Worry not. Right click on an area on the left. If you right click on a bit of blank space on one of your existing audio tracks and click on 'insert audio track' you should be done!
