Let me make it as simple as possible

COMPUTER SPECS: pcpartpicker.com

Issue: bc154e6b2cc13b4b6161a94a8a51db25.76eb3b2

More details: This happened twice after I had installed Google Chrome 64bit and updated the battlelog plugin for BF4. I saw this took a screenshot and closed the game. I then tested 5 other games none of which had the same issue. I restarted my computer and went back to BF4 and played for several hours with no sign of this happening again. The never helpful players on the battlefield forums just state "dead gpu" over and over. If you notice in this image ALL of my HUD and UI are untouched by this effect, which looks more like a shader issue. My GPU is brand new, only 3 months old. Runs at an avg temp of 58c while gaming and has never had any issues besides this. Yes I have bench tested my GPU after this happened and nothing happened. Drivers are the latest AMD Driver, 14.12 Catalyst Omega.

What I want to know: Is this a simple error with the game I was playing (note the HUD and UI were untouched by this) or is this my GPU and does it mean something?

I'd say its just a weird glitch. if it happens again, there might be something wrong with it. I wouldn't worry if this is just a 1 time thing

It could be, do you have this issue on other games aswell? if not then it's a problem in bf4/chrome/plugin or drivers

I stated in my post, tested 5 other games before and after i restarted my computer and no trace of anything wrong. I also ran 60mins of several benchmarks today and besides a FPS boost from the new AMD drivers, nothing. And no, I installed the AMD driver on the 9th and this issue happened on the 10th, don't think they are related but it is possible that there is a bad code in the new driver that can cause this to happen on a rare chance.

Now that i think about it, it looks like the blue filter for the 3d part of the game isn't there.. its probably a glitch in the game engine.

I currently use MSI afterburner and have my GPU core set to 1ghz and a max power limit of +20%. Had my GPU set this way since the day I got it.

Yes but increase it anyway.

I have seen multiple cases where someone's AMD graphics card suddenly starts artifacting and becoming unstable. Increasing the voltage makes it stable again.

It seems to be a rare case of product degradation by regular use.

It won't hurt to try increasing the voltage :)

I believe your GPU is going to die soon. Because I owned a gt240 long ago and it did everything like in that picture before it died.

Ok...

But why would only 1 game be affected for only a moment and several other games not be affected? Why would the game that was affected only have certain parts of the game affected while others are left alone?
