Sony, Z3 and wearables

s4spencer

Lately i've been looking to ditch my s3 for a new phone, and for a while the decision was almost impossible to make until I saw this beautiful thing http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/products/smartwear/smartband-talk-swr30/

The Z3 and the S5, to me, seem to have very little separating them for average use. I don't do much photography and diving is unlikely to ever be a common sport for me. These wearables however, with sony showing the above, and at a price point around ~100CAD (compared to samsungs $500 that I've seen) its really won me over.

Now i'm wondering if anyone on the forums here has any kind of smart wearable. Do they work as intended? Is the voice control functional? Durability, etc. Or just any comments on them in general.

edit:

the 100CAD is the smaller swr10 http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/products/smartwear/smartband-swr10/

well i got the sony z3 in combination with my lg g watch r and so far everything seems to work fine. the voice control sucks ass though. it misspells words when dictating an answer and doesnt even ask twice before sending that out. therefore havent used the voice control too much but everthing else works just fine. for durability i dont know what to tell you my watch lasts for about 1-2 days before i have to charge it and so does my phone. the z3 is currently in repairs so the watch is a little useless right now. ohh and i noticed if you dont have a phone to pair it to the watch may last longer in flight mode but it doesnt even keep the time correctly. i turned off the watch for one night and now the time is all wrong and there is no way for me to manually adjust the time until my phone comes back and i can pair it up again.

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"
