I can see where you are coming from and I do agree with you. However, my rage and concern is due the people judging others of color by the actions of other members of their racial groups and not the individual himself. I find it perplexing and downright disgusting that people are doing that. Why are you automatically condemning someone of color based of the actions of others? He did nothing to you and yet you are being critical and prejudicial towards him. I just don't understand.

Either they are mentally deficient. Were trained to hate by a racist parent or had some sort of horrible set of experiences with a certain nationality of people. That's the only things I could think of.

It's not really a matter of racism imo, more a case of bad policing. As for the whole "black people get a hard time from police" kind of attitude, well that's mainly because black males developed that reputation with their actions. You reap what you sow.

I admit there is probably some, but unless you can prove that the police officer in question yelled "DIE *racial slur* DIE" then it's not worth talking about, all we can do is band together and fight the corruption of our government, and militarization of the police as a whole, instead of allowing ourselves to be divided over accusations of racism.

I agree with you there, but I disagree with you sort of because I don't think policemen should be held accountable like that. I guess it's hard to be a policeman and Murder isn't something that they should be charged with. Yes, manslaughter, but not murder.

 

Also, idk if the previous case about Michael Brown had been mentioned yet, but my feelings about that are as follows. It was portrayed by the judge that the police officer had seen Michael steal from a shop, the policeman went for Michael to stop him and arrest him, but 6'5" Michael leapt on to the police officer. Before he knew it, the officer was on the floor in a struggle with Michael for the officer's gun. The officer won the struggle and subsequently shot Michael, but in anger, killed him as he shot too many times. That's practically from the witness accounts.

 

I think that without the gun, the situation would have been better. However, Michael should have been arrested and sentenced for his previous actions, but he made the decision to fight the police officer and that's what got him killed. You don't fuck with the police with guns, and this guy did, so he ded. I have no sympathy for those who don't show respect for the police, and perhaps if Michael would have not leapt on the policeman, things would be different. I don't think there's racism in the police force, just generalisations. For example, it's more likely that someone who wears a balaclava has committed a crime, so statistically is being black. It's unfortunate, but true

painting everyone of a unique genetic distinction with the same brush is by definition, racism. Declaring that the actions of one police officer against a black man (in a country that has 1000's of different local cultures) is what defines the outlook of (in this case) white people - is two accounts of racism. This incident of police brutality is actually a severe problem with a local police department of that particular town/city, and whatever cultural undercurrent they are dealing with there, or possibly a lack of proper training for restraining a suspect. They could be dealing with family feuds going back a century or more, or a police department that has become jaded and biased from years of dealing with street crime. or maybe a police officers little sister got knocked up and someone got revenge? Or maybe someone was sick the day they taught how to properly conduct a choke hold. It's easy to push these kind of unknown details under the carpet (if they exist). These cherry picked examples that attempt to paint a local problem as a national one, in an attempt to get the rest of the country, or even an international audience to make a judgement call is asinine, and attempts to further create a rift between people of different genetic qualities by stirring up anger (which causes hostile racial divide in the first place), instead of addressing what the problem might actually be in this case. it's also serious confirmation bias. I'm not belittling this or saying it isn't manslaughter, it clearly is, but whether it was murder depends on who's side of the story you hear.
