Well the warranty doesn't matter that much , all of them are good .i have a 840 EVo 250gb , it has easy software that sets your OS and comp up for what you want (reliability/performance) . Intel SSDs are also good , i don't know about their software or if they have any. Another good choice is Crucial mx100

The 840 Evo is still a relatively great performer and the 530 easily falls behind it.

Depends on what you mean by performance.

 

if you mean a super fast solid state experience that blows HDD raids out of the water? Then no, you are right on track.

 

If you are talking above-normal Enthusiast/overkill grade ssd's, then yes, you are behind.
