PC restarts randomly

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

In event viewer, its states critical error kernal -power id41(63).

What does this mean? Faulty psu?

This scenario usually indicates a problem with the hardware. To help isolate the problem, check the following items:

  1. Overclocking: Disable overclocking to see whether the issue occurs when the system is run at the correct speed.
  2. Check the memory: Verify the memory by using a memory checker. Verify that each memory chip is the same speed and that it is configured correctly in the system.
  3. Power supply: Make sure that the power supply has enough wattage to appropriately handle the installed devices. If you added memory, installed a newer processor, installed additional drives, or added external devices, such devices can require more energy than the current power supply can provide consistently.
  4. Overheating: Check whether the system is overheating by examining the internal temperature of the hardware.
  5. Defaults: Reset the system back to the system defaults to see whether the issues occur when the system is running in its default configuration.

This is what microsoft support says for that scenario. I recommend doing those things above, and if possible swap out the PSU with a different one if you have a spare, or get someone to lend you one.

Just to confirm, when this happens there isnt something weird like the lights in your house dimming or turning off for a second, right?

My pc have been constanly restarting itself. It is not a heat issue as it also restarts when idle. When restarting, the only error they show is the screen where they ask u to 'start windows normally'

'Boot into safe mode' Does anyone know what is causing this problem?

Sounds like inconsistent power...

Doublecheck in windows event viewer, see what it tells you.

It either is an issue with your PSU/wiring , your motherboard, or your house's power.

Are you running an Overclock?

If not, look in the Event Viewer to see what exactly is causing the restarts.

That's just telling you that your PC is doing dirty shut downs (which, of course, you already know).

Check for Hardware Events (again, in the Event Viewer).

I think you should also do a full diagnostic on your Hard Drive, mate.

probably not ur problem but i had this happen to me a while ago and it was a mobo issue and a part of my mobo was fried to the point where the board wasnt completely dead but it kept restarting randomly so maybe inspect the mobo and make sure nothing is burned or exploded
