My finale 1600 dollar build

Biology

Hi guys it's my first rig and after all the asking and searching here's my conclusion!

I have yet to buy the rest.

CPU: i7-4790k (check)

CPu cooler : Corsair h105

Motherboard : Asus Maximus vii hero (check)

GPU : G1 gigabyte 970

Memory ram : Corsair Dominator platinum 2x8 2400

Ssd : samsung evo 840 250gb (check)

Hdd : WD caviar blue 1tb

Psu: EVGA G2 750w

Windows 8.1

Optical drive : LG (check)

Case : Corsair 540 Carbide white (check)

4 Corsair SP 120 fans! To replace my stock.

I will use this rig for gaming , everyday use and some fraps and video editing.

Also planning on doing dual SLI in the future!

Let me know how this look! Thanks guys! I'm open to suggestion if there's anything!

All looks fine, other than the overpriced as hell RAM.

 

Either way, enjoy it. And replacing the stock fans with SP120s is useless (other than on the CPU cooler), like SP120s themselves.

What she said. The G1 is better then the STRIX in every aspect except the useless silent fan feature and the stupidly huge bandwagon you get to hop on. The cooler is better, you get cherry picked GPU chips, and along with that, the VRMs have also been beefed up, so you get epic overclocks on the G1.

Missed that as well, thanks. Honestly Dominator Platiniums are for rappers. For the rest of us, HyperX Fury is the most you'll want to be spending on RAM.
