SSD Not Reaching Advertised Write Speed

So the other day I got my new 512gb Crucial SSD.

 

I ran some benchmarks right away to make sure it was working and found the read to hit 500MB/S but the write only got to 60MB/S.

 

Does anyone know of any reason for the SSD to be not reaching its advertised speed of 500?

 

I have tried 3 ssd benchmarking software and moving a file around the ssd and they all revealed the same results. (Atto benchmark, samsung magician software and as ssd)

Windows 8.1 pro 64 bit

CPU: i5 4430 PSU: XFX 550w Ram: 8gb Patriot Viper 1600mhz

Random, but do you have RAPID enabled?

 

BTW, my two EVOs are at or past advertised speeds. Just saying. :D SO NICE NOT BEING LIMITED TO 140MB/s R/W!!!

Is it on a SATA 3 port?

It can't reach 500 read otherwise, Sata 2 is too slow for that

 

Maybe you just got a bad SSD. Try Crystaldiskmark and see what that gets you

On the Samsung yes, as this is not a samsung drive no; on a related note here is the evo benchmark

Is it plugged into a SATA III port? Some boards still have SATA II ports which run at 1/2 the speed of SATA III.

 

It is plugged into a sata 3 port

Have you compressed your drive...? Compression tools can do that...

 

I tried the tickbox in Windows C;\ Properties, and I had this issue, since reverted back to normal, and it was fine.

Is AHCI turned on in the BIOS/UEFI? Makes a world of difference.
