You really do not need it, just dont click on ads on the internet and remember to stay on sites that you know are safe

Avast Free all the way. I use it on everything and haven't had a problem with it (even on my old Dell running Windows XP).

360 Total Security is pretty cool. In addition, you can integrate BitDefender's antivirus engine into it as well as Avira's. (at the same time)
