Thoughts on this build

Hello!

So I am getting myself a new PC for Christmas since my current build is around 4 years old and is getting quite outdated. I can only spend ~$800, but I would like it as cheap as I can to have room left to buy peripherals and/or games [it's a gaming build]. I am also using some of my old stuff from my current PC [The HDD & Operating System] for this build to save me some money.

My friend made a list for me, and I was wondering if I could get some other opinions on it, so any and all comments are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

It would help to list what parts you already have in the list using the custom item function. What drives do you already have?

An anti-static wristband isn't really necessary--just don't dance on carpet with socks on and ground yourself on a metal case.

Looks great.

You don't need an anti-static wrist band though.

What the mod said. If you're someone who makes a job out of pc building or builds them all the time, buying an anti-static band is pointless. A tip is before you touch components with a screwdriver, if you touch the screwdriver to the case first it will get rid of static electricity on it

Go with the CX 600m instead, the fact that it is semi modular really helps your build look cleam

There's nothing wrong with the S340. It has Linus' seal of approval, if that means anything. ;)

Doesn't make much of a difference in a s340.

But, if he ever switches cases it might be helpful

Saw that..

Haha yeah. Both your names start with a "W" so they're easy to get mixed up. :D

Since when is a $200 difference a "slight increase" in budget? xD
