Get a better graphic card, at least a dual 970 for this setup. And do you really need to buy that RAM? Get a cheaper one.

I agree with @Castdeath97, I would go for a more affordable RAM and better GPU set up.

I haven't listed a hard drive since I already have a SSD. And I have Windows 8.1.

I am trying to stick with 16GB but its not a big deal..

8 is the sweet spot for just video games, so you'll want to use the rest of that money on a better GPU, try a 770 minimum, preferably 970. Everything else is fine

Why are you buying a $200 overkill motherboard and a midrange graphics card at a horrible price? You're getting about as little bang for your buck possible if this is supposed to be a gaming machine.

Well I am building a PC not only for gaming but for other things as well. I want it to be as powerfll as possible but without spending over 1200. I like the r4 case as well.

Mainly for gaming but for other things to do with school. I was thinking about an i5 or a FX 8350.. But figure I should spend 100 extra and get a 4790k. I want max frames. The frames.

Also my current laptop has 12gb of ram and when I run multiple VMs I use it up quickly.

For my motherboard I originally was considering the asus z97-a. But changed it to the maximus since I like the way it looks. There are so many choices! lol

But I also like the window on the side of the r4 and like aesthetics.

Im assuming you wanted a red and black theme here is a reworked version if you feel you need 16gigs of ram it would only cost you another $50 at least this way youll get max performance for your dollar and unless your in florida or in the desert you really dont need that AIO water cooler a cheaper air cooler will do a lot better but i left it on you can make that call

I think I saw a video review where it was shown or stated that it could fit one.

 

Try looking on Fractal Designs website. I've seen mid-size cases there listed as able to fit radiators

Fractal cases are usually very radiator friendly and its the same case/water cooler i intend to use from all the research ive done on the two it seems like it would

As long as I don't overclock, do you think I could get by with the stock cooler?

If that's what I do I will still probably get one in the future...

 

But of course, I want to protect my investments.

The stock cooler should be sufficient. And if you do run into a overheating problem (without overclocking it ever) you should be able to get a new one from Intel with warranty

Yes.

But I doubt Intel would purposely give people an inadequate fan on purpose. Although it's possible the one included is meant to hold over those that don't have an after market fan yet, expecting people to get one.

But I am certain it should still work fine

Well I did some research on that and I found that it wasn't very good. So I need to get something! haha
