2 Gigabyte 970 SLI or 1 Gigabyte and one blower 970 SLI

Im thinking about buying a 2 970 for SLI but not sure if i should buy another G1 gaming 970 (current card) or buy the EVGA blower style card and putting that on top and the Gigabyte one under. Suggestions?

Just buy the same card you have.

well i was thinking i should buy a blower so i can exhaust more heat out the back since i only have one exhaust fan and my PSU is fan-side-down

Just buy another g1.

 

The cooler is beefy enough already and the card has a very low TDP, you shouldn't have any issues.

 

Also, the G1 is binned and more overclockable, so I see no reason to buy something else when the second card would end up overclocking like 100 mhz less.

considering i have 4 intakes (rad and front of the case) and one exhaust i dont want the hot air from both of the G1s to just stay in the case so i was think a blower so i can exhaust more heat out the back. I could also add an exhaust on the bottom...

It should honestly be fine. They don't have much heat output to begin with, you can always flip some of the intake fans to exhausts if it becomes a problem, but I honestly don't think you'll have an issue.
