The question is: do you really need to upgrade? Or are you just looking to spend your money?

If you need more performance (don't see why you'd need more at 1080p) get another 970.

If you feel that you need more ram, get 8GB more.

If you feel like you need more storage, be it solid state or hard disk, get more storage.

Are you interested in 1440p/4k monitors? If so, you should check some out. You can find really good 1440p monitors and pretty decent 4k monitors at that price (when they're on sale).

I can't give you a definitive answer because the build already looks amazing to me.

RIP in pepperonis m8s

so i would be something I'd go with, unless you're doing productive work.

You don't need more than 8GB of RAM for gaming.

I'd get a 1440p monitor and use the that asus one as a secondary display.

I'd just get a better monitor. Your rig is good enough there's no need to needlessly waste money.

I'd also consider getting a 512gb MX100 SSD and using it as a boot + gaming drive. Then you don't need the HDD, except for media.

I'd be 50/50 on a 144hz monitor or an other 970. Or go crazy and get both.

Am I the only one around here who really doesn't like pcpartpicker?
I also like Ubisoft and Origin/EA
Guess I'm just odd that way.
