It's pretty hard to say which is the "best" as none of us here have a bunch of models to compare.

I would agree for the price you cant go wrong,

 

after that you would step up to a HP or a eizo

Its all about those volumetric clouds

Probably not on ultra in every game, my 780ti struggled to do that

 

Also check out the AOC Q2770PQU, same panel as the Asus but is sometimes much cheaper to buy

Another option is the Dell u2713hm, or the AOC mentioned by ShadowCaptain above.

May be with Medium or High in some titles.

Remember, there is a newer model than the ASUS PB278Q; the ASUS PB278QR. About the same monitor but it has the non PWM backlight which is easier on the eyes. And the price is also lower(in my country).

This model is only available in certain regions though, just a heads up.
