Ps Vita or a 3ds XL

QUICKRICH

Right to the point I am going to invest in a portable gaming console but, What one?

I'm going to buy one today/in the morning to use and put it thru it paces over the weekend, as i'm on the move all weekend.

What would be better a few things i'm struck between.

  • Games... I love football/soccer games but i also like a few games on the 3ds like pokemon mario and so on. Who doesn't :)
  • An easy multiplayer experience on the move and at home.
  • Great deals on games and the online store

Few things i dislike on both consoles is

Ps Vita

  • Must use Sony's micro sd card. Quite expensive :/
  • Lack of games

3DS XL

  • Fun but nothing new in games library
  • Graphics get a bit annoying at times from being a pc gamer

In summary both Consoles have games that i want but, what will be best for a trip to London for a boring musical haha.

Prices

Ps Vita Wi-FI £99

3DS XL £125

I don't have much of a choice. I'll likely have both.

3DS for Dream Drop Distance.

PS Vita to go with my PS4.

I personally would go for the Vita to go in tandem w/ my PS4.

I bought a Vita. There are seriously no games for it right now, and it's so frustrating.

If there are no good games by the end of this year, get the 3DS.

I couldn't honestly recommend anyone get a Vita until Sony gets their head out of their ass in that department honestly.. We still don't have a proper way of viewing videos on the internet, no great game library, stupid DRM/ content manager. Ugh

Their promise of remote play with the PS3 didn't even come true ffs

I'd probably get a 3DS for the games and price point (cheaper handheld in the long run). The only game for the Vita I'd want is Persona 4 (I'd play the new Sly game on it, too, but that came out on the PS3 too), but I've already played through the PS2 edition of the game. I get that the Vita version has updated graphics, more interaction mechanics, and other enhancements (similar to Persona 3 Portable), but that's not enough for me to warrant a Vita or rebuying the game.

Of course, being a full-time student and part-time worker, I barely have time for my PC games, let alone console games.

Jeez a 3DS more expensive than a Vita in the UK?? That's ridiculous.

I would personally go with the Vita since it caters to your tastes in games and it's cheaper too! No point in getting a console that doesn't have the kind of games you enjoy.

I'd get both, but the 3ds has better games.

With the Ps4 coming we could see a revamped vita and more games.

I love my Vita. It's true that the library is a little thin, but you also have most of the PSP library, a bunch of AMAZING PS1 games, and a gazillion arcade style games available for download too. Not to mention the battery life is phenomenal. I've never used the 3DS, so I can't say which is ultimately better, but you won't regret buying a Vita.

Get the 3DS. It has so many good games. You'll get over the graphics. That's why you have a PC! Its like a low res version of the original Xbox with bloom.
