They're basically just binned, higher clocked versions of each other. If you already have an 8150, it'll only be a 15-20% performance increase when upgrading to something like an 8350. If you're gaming, and you want to upgrade, get something like an i5 4690k.

If you are on a tight budget get a 8320 and overclock it. If you want the best FX get the 9590. If you want the absolute best, switch to a Intel i7.

The 9590 uses lots of power so overclocking it may not be a great idea. But the other two use 95 watts fewer.

I'd probably go for the 8370 but that's just me.

Or I'd just keep it. What's wrong with your 8150 really?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

If your 8150 is not enough, do not buy any more AMD CPUs.

even the most expensive 9590 is only a marginal improvement at the expense of a shit ton of heat and power.

You should be considering a 4690k or 4790k for your next CPU upgrade if you want to have a worthy improvement.

You seem new around here...

1) starting flame wars is against the CoC. That includes insulting other forum members and calling them fanboys.

2) it is a fact that intel processors have better single core performance than AMD processors. This has been proven by this thing called "benchmarks"

3) it is also a fact that games take advantage of better core performance rather than more cores.

4) it is also a fact that 99% of games, programs, and applications use 4 cores or less, which means that a 4690k with great single core performance will beat any FX AMD CPU in 99% of tasks.

5) for the price of AMD's best CPU, the 9590, you can easily buy an i7 4790k which has the core performance of the i5, but has hyperthreading for 8 threads. This means it will perform better in not 99% of tasks, but is 100% of tasks, because it is not limited by core performance or number of cores.

6) if you still refuse to accept the facts right in front of your face, here are benchmarks:
