Is the windows 8.1 crash fixed? If i just get it and update it won't crash right? Im asking because i know for a fact that windows 8 is more smooth than 7, but hesistant to learn a new OP hence if theres any real difference so ill get the 8.

There are no crashes -- I have used it since it came out and I have had 0 crashes.

Hey guys, going to get a new key for my computer.

Need help for windows 7 vs windows 8

Budget: i can buy either of them no problem.

Looking for performance boosts, smoother windows etc.

I've heard some versions of windows 8 crashing. Like 8.1 or something? Correct me if im wrong

As for the layout ill get used to it or i'll get a window 7 theme on the windows 8 if anything.

Thanks for the help guys

I've noticed Windows 8.1 runs better on my computer than windows 7 did. Gaming is faster by a small bit. (30FPS on integrated Intel Laptop Graphics to 45-50 on same graphics on Minecraft. Same with Smite although its more 30 FPS to 40 FPS.)

Now I'm searching for my love to be."

Oh alright, i asked because if you just google "windows 8.1 crash" theres alot of links hinting the possibility that windows 8.1 is pretty buggy. But if both of you guys or the majority didn't even know about it, then it's probably not that evident.

Side note: Do you guys use any window 7 themes for windows 8? Or just got use to W8?

I have tried many themes some are kinda buggy but as for visual preferance I don't have one. The only "crash" I can think of that you would be refering to is when File Explorer stops working and then you need to restart File Explorer but that is not hard.

Thanks for the input and information everyone! After all this, i will get windows 8.1 and hopefully not become one of the unlucky individual to get those "crashes". and hopefully learn how to use it efficiently.
