Hey guys

So I saw linus' video editing rig video and noticed that he didn't connect the quadro and geforce gpus via SLI, and figured that's probs cause they run totally different software. But I got a question. If I have 2 different geforces like a 750 ti and a 770, and I connect them via SLI, will they work?  IDC if it's not optimal in a ptp ratio, but say if I had a 750 ti and got a 770 and don't want to chuck my 750ti, will it be OK? It's only unacceptable if the performance gain be closer to nil than it will be to 50%. Same with crossfire. If I connect a 270x to a 240, will they work? Just a question, and I am absolutely not going to do it, single GPU's for me, but still, I was just a bit curious.

Thanks.

PS, I specifically kept 2 same gen cards in this example. I would also want to learn about what il happen if I hook up something like a 570 to a 980. thanks.

750's dont support SLI. Nothing would happen even if they did, and the 270 does the crossfire comm over PCIE with the 240. Still, nothing would happen. Literally nothing happens if they are incompatible.

1-750Ti don't support SLI

2-nvidia SLI requires same GPU, and same VRam Amount

3-i don't think the 240supports CF and even if it does, AMD CF requires the two chips to be the Family
