Hello, I am currently using a Logitech g430 for online gaming, mainly for the 7.1 surround sound (makes moving your head around less choppy and anoying). But when it comes to recording, the mic kinda sucks. The outside-noise canceler makes it so you stutter and its just not good.

 

So I am looking for a headphone and mic to use for recording/audio/movie watching.

But for the mic, I was really interested in the Modmic 4.0 on massdrop. Then I found out that they START shipping on christmas, long after I need them. It would cost about 55 dollars to get the mute version on their website. Is there anything similar to that design, or is that the only thing out there? Total budget for both the headphone and mic is around 100, and less is more. Recording sound is a priority, as well as good sounding headphones.

Don't think there's any attachable mic of the same caliber that would ship quickly. 

This belongs in the Audio section. I'm moving the thread.

Wow, didn't even realize we had an audio section. The only thing I found was home theater, its getting a little too late to do this :L

I bought the non-mute modmic 4.0 from their website for less than $50 and its great

vmoda boompro mic or do a search for headworn mic

as I stated in the other thread the boompro is a direct fit to the monoprice 8323

 

I wonder what the sound difference would be, its a large jump in price (110 vs 50)
