I have 8GB of RAM@1600MHz, however my computer is often sluggish even with less than 50% of the RAM being used. I suspect that it is because Windows 7 has set my virtual memory amount to 8GB, so the OS is pushing data to the pagefile without first filling up all available RAM. Should I reduce the size of my virtual memory?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

It is important to check which type of os you have you should be running 64 bit if you have 8gb of ram. Go into computer and the go onto system properties and see which version of the os you are using.
