Also, it would help if mods made it clear there is a thread... obviously it appears it's not obvious.

It was in the recent threads feed for a significant amount of time AND it's a hot topic right now so you can see it. Also with something this major you can assume something is wrong and you should check out the Forum News & Info section anyway

These forums are provided to you at no direct cost.

When you have to shut the forum down for emergency maintenance, such as this board did a few days back, things go wrong. The simple fact that the forums went down with such little notification means that something was already critically wrong, or there was an immediate necessity to bring the forums down. I don't know what this was, nor if it was ever disclosed, however I'm not inclined to go asking, if it hasn't been disclosed, either.

 

Many issues are known of, and are being looked into, these included.
