I've an intel I5 3570k and i'll upgrade to haswell soon i wanted to ask should i get Air cooling like ( Noctua NH-D14 ) Or water cooling such as Corsair H100 and antec 920 kuhler

i want it to be more like performance pc and good temps when i over clock the cpu so that's my question Air Cooling Or water cooling and if so which brand and type !

h100i has the best performance out of the ones you mentioned, i personally like it very much because you dont have RAM clearance issues and the rgb led on the block makes it fit so well in any build, another great option is the h220 from swiftech but that is more recomended if you plan on then upgrading it to a full on watercooled rig

AIR Cooling!

The Noctua NH-D14 is an absolute beast, 100% reliable, guaranteed no pump noise or leaks. works a charm and extremely quiet!

pretty much, this is THE case to go with if you have no window, if you do, and care about it, watercool, get something like the H220, where you can expand upon it

I would also go with the

Dark Rock Pro 2 by Be Quiet!

NCIX

and the Xigmatek Dark Knight Night Hawk edition, as Logan really likes it, AND it preforms better than an H100i stock, great if you are tight on space

*EDIT* keep in mind he is using Tuniq thermal paste, and to improve preformance, put thermal paste on the copper heatpipes that touch directly to the CPU for better cooling (make the dabs small though, you want it to spread when it heats up)

If your case supports it, you can pick up a Kraken x60. You can also pick up the x40.

nope, watercooling is flashy, the D14 is very good if you don't care about looks, if you care about even more silence, go with the Dark Rock Pro 2

Some. But most air coolers are flashier than most water coolers.

I should've mentioned specifically AIO's.

Honestly the AIO water coolers are not very good compared to most aftermarket air coolers. The only good thing about them is you don't have a 50 pound thing strapped to your motherboard.

If you want to do water cooling then do it right and go full custom, especially if you want to overclock high.

that's why aircooling

That's Full custom liquid cooling u showed me i asked about after market coolers but as u said they are flashy but in terms of Performance water cooling or air cooling and why

( i heard that the pumps of the water cooling makes a clicking noise sometimes )

that's because they killed the pump lol, use a swiftech MCP665 or the MCP35X and fill it right, not like this

but I prefer watercooling because you can expand upon it, but PRICE TO PERFORMANCE, aircooling is better, but watercooling will always look more beast mode

Oh man water cooling gets expensive. I think I've spent more to do water cooling then my parts are worth lol.

why change from ivey to haswell? spending more to get 10-15% bump in productivity, but not

really a bump in gaming.. your case is going to be the main issue, next would be the GPU.

no SSD? tbh, i'd invest in a SSD and GPU before moving to haswell and get some overclock

experience with the ivey to stable and find someone that is starting out to buy your rig and then

move on to the next platform. the ivey is just a "pliable" as haswell for bigger cash than what you

have in it now.. just some insight..
