I'm rather displeased with the temps on my 7950, and I was wondering if there was some kind of AIO solution that I can throw on it. It's the XFX Double Dissipation deal, and as far as I can remember, it is a non-reference PCB. As long as it stays quiet and the temps stay below 70C, I'd be happy.

Reference or non  It wouldn't matter anyway, as long as the mounting holes are the same distance apart, etc and I didn't think they would change that but I could be wrong, definetly something to look into. The g10 only attaches as a regular AIO mounts to a cpu/mobo. As long as they didn't move the power delivery system to some obscure place. 120mm AIO is fine but the fan should be ramped clearly up on it to compensate, that said You can probably get 70C temps without having the fan too loud.  But the 7950 when the g10 released was n't stated as compatible but since then they have said it should work but you may need a shim.

** Some variations in AMD die height may require the use of a shim.

I had a XFX CORE edition 7950, so single fan, open cooler in a terrible air flow case and that thing was ungodly loud.... Even with the side panel off I thought it might explode one day until,,,, tea made its way onto the PCB....

@Imabigmac

Yes that is true, the G10 isn't a full-cover block, so it shouldn't be a big deal of reference or non reference. I can see where the two XFX cards differ by looking at the PCBs and can tell why a reference full-cover block would not fit, but I see no reason why a G10 wouldn't.
