it might be a small thing, but how can they missangle the heatpipes...

 

The cooler seems to perform as intended despite the GPU not being in direct contact with all the heat pipes. Also the GTX 980 ACX 2.0 does NOT have this problem.

I assumed this was isolated to the ACX "1.0", is it still a confirmed problem with the 2.0?

Perhaps the initial run was a victim of sloppy manufacturing?

FWIW, I just picked up the EVGA GTX 980 ACX 2.0 superclocked last week. I've overclocked it with 1.22 VDDC and didn't have temps go past 65C when checking stability and bench marking (100% load obviously).
