I was wondering what is the difference between these two waterblocks. I decided nickel over copper because I heard that nickel still has copper underneath and has better thermal conductivity. btw, kinda new to wc

Nickel helps with corrosion, and looks more shiny in builds. The nickel layer is a few hundred micrometers thin, it doesn't affect temps.

The two links are two different designs. One is the original CSQ (Circle Square) design and one if the newer clean design.

Which is better CSQ or the regular one?

They are the same block, just different tops, chose the one that is better looking to you.

More like a few (<20) microns thick only.

Like ericlee30 said, They are exactly the same in terms of performance.  It all depends on the look you prefer the most.

Fair enough. I knew you could get plating up to 0.1mm thick, wasn't sure what WB manu's use.

Again it's mostly a question of look since with the Acetal you won't see the coolant running in the watercooling channels and you will see it with the plexi.  No performances difference here. :)

awesome thanks!

also, (depending on the block), acetal versions usually come in the full card cover flavour which some people prefer, while acrylic cover only the block

brainfart, those are cpu blocks xD i was referring to GPU blocks
