Malfunctioning keyboard, please help

Prodigydeadeye

So this just started, I used my keyboard this morning, it was fine. Whenever I press "W" to go forward in any game, I move very jaggedly and it makes all games unplayable. All other keys function properly. When typing, the "W" key works fine. Any suggestions? I hope I don't have to replace my keyboard as I just got it like three months ago. Keyboard is a Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire Rapid-i

I should be studying.

Inspect the keyswitch, don't pull it apart though.

Try pulling the keycap off and blowing out any dust or little specs of dirt that might be interfering with the key.

Sad to see this as I wanted this keyboard for Christmas....

I asked for one with Cherry Greens though so maybe that will magically make all the difference.

Either way, warranty seems like the best way to go here.

Good luck!

Don't let my experience hinder you from the product. For the three months I have had it it has been amazing. It was a bit expensive at the time, but the price has come down a lot. It really is a solid choice.

It looks completely normal to me. Does it feel different to pressing another Brown switch? Maybe there could be a bad contact on the PCB.

Cherry MX Browns aren't for me (too light and not clicky) but hey, glad to hear you like it.

Also, by chance, when your keyboard trips out on screen do the LED's do anything different? (I have a thought of what it could be if so)

The LED's stay as bright as ever. Nothing happens.  -_-  Oh well, the RMA request has been submitted and I will hopefully have a replacement soon enough.

Alrighty, good to hear Cooler Master has good RMA service  :D Some companies have issues with this.
