New build time (This one I can actually afford, haha)

So, in the past I've posted my "plans" for a $3,000 USD build that I hoped to get someday. However, as I was looking through the new computer shop that opened today in my town, I realized that I should do something a bit more reasonable. So, I decided to put together an $800 USD build, with some parts that I've seen in the new store.

Some notes about the store: It was pretty empty at first glance, but I found some nice things like an Asus R9 270 and a Corsair SPEC-03.

Most of the good stuff is apparently hidden in the back, so I hope they have some of these things.

Build Purpose: Gaming, heavy music production, etc.

No Peripherals Included

Build MUST be under $800 BEFORE all discounts/MIR

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor  ($138.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard  ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($84.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 280 3GB TWIN FROZR Video Card  ($190.91 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair SPEC-03 Red ATX Mid Tower Case  ($66.49 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($34.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $772.58

(to get price before rebate just switch the subtotal with the final total)

Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 280X 3GB DirectCU II Video Card  ($209.99 @ NCIX US)

Thanks for mentioning that card, I might use that instead since it won't throw me over.

unless that's a discount

otherwise shit

I wonder how much tax would be, thinking about it now.

Yeah, if it's on combo or MIR, just add the price of it back.

looks like it's a 280 then huh

If it can be standard discount like a sale we're fine but if not then dropping back to the 280 will have to be done.

I still don't know how far the seller out here marks up, or what. I'm assuming there's at least some markup.

Probably going to get Ubuntu until I get extra cash for that.

inb4 pirating

there's no reliable cracks for windows

Good idea, all the Windows cracks are pretty terrible, nothing beats a clean, legit copy of Windows. Other than that the build looks good.
